Shandong Dongying Food Waste Treatment Project

The Dongying food waste treatment project is undertaken by Shandong GDCE Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of 18.92 mu (1.26 hectares) and is designed to produce 40,000 tons of organic carbon source per year, with a daily food waste treatment capacity of 150 tons. Shandong GDCE Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GDCE (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 135 million yuan, including a construction investment of 130 million yuan.

The main process of the project includes: pretreatment, three-phase separation (for extracting waste oil), carbon source preparation. Pretreatment waste residue, carbon source preparation waste residue, and part of garden greening waste are subjected to aerobic composting (while simultaneously treating part of the sludge from domestic sewage treatment plants). After composting, screening is carried out. The oversize materials are sent to the garbage transfer station, and the undersize materials are used as nutrient soil in the garden greening system. The project includes: negative pressure unloading system, pretreatment system, anaerobic hydrolysis, anaerobic acidification, membrane filtration and purification system, sewage treatment system, deodorization system, as well as comprehensive facilities and services such as environmental monitoring, power transformation and distribution, water supply and drainage, etc. After pretreatment and anaerobic dehydration, food waste is subjected to membrane filtration and purification to prepare carbon source. Solid waste is transported to the designated location by the government for disposal. Odor is collected dispersedly and treated centrally to meet the discharge standards.
